Sunny Picnic

Hello!
Last week, the weather was sooo nice, my boyfriend and I went for a picnic in the Downs after work,
We were accompanied by sheep, bees, rabbits and pheasants. It was so relaxing and the view was amazing...Such an easy thing to do which makes a great evening out!
I strongly recommand it!

Making Turquoise Bag

Hello all,
I am making right now a turquoise bag: the main fabric is a genuine English vintage soft woven turquoise I found in an antique shop. The lining is made with a cotton fabric called Botanic Pop by Jackie Shapiro. While making it, I thought to share a few pics with you!
I will post more pictures once finished,
Hope you all have a hot ans summer weekend!

Cute Heart Brooches

Last week, I finished those 3 very cute heart brooches.
The design is asymmetrical and I used some vintage lace I sewed around to give them a vintage feel.
They measure 10cm across at widest point and 9 cm length.
I loved doing those because I handsewn them piece by piece and finished with a machine stitch to make them stronger.
I think they would embellish a corsage, jacket or jumper very well,

A very special present from a very special person

I’ve always loved drawing, I could spend spending hours sketching, drawing, painting…
When I was going on holiday at my grandparents during the summer months, I had a pad where my grandfather used to mark my drawings. They still have it somewhere in a draw.

I did those a few years ago and last April I received a packet: the drawings were printed on fabric!!
It was a special present from my boyfriend! Without saying anything, he scanned my drawings and sent them to a printing company.

How nice of him and such a great idea!
Thank you Ben,

So many new projects to think of now!

My Bag

2 weekends ago, I made myself a roomy and bright bag. It has 2 big pockets inside and one includes a little pocket for my mobile phone. It's made with a genuine English vintage fabric called "Water". The lining is a bright yellow cotton and to finish, I added a flounce at the front made with a satin fuchsia fabric. Love it!

Time flies by...

I can’t believe it’s been 3 weeks I haven’t updated my blog! Sorry about this.

I have been very busy sewing to finish my bags and the matching accessories because I am planning to approach shops. I am a bit scared but who wouldn’t be? But I have lots to do first (I have to be fully prepared).
I will keep you updated of course.
Some accessories pictures (glasses cases and make-up purses),

And the promise to come back very soon with more news ; )
