Straight after my degree I attended a residential course
specialising in tailoring. The main focus was to make and alter patterns to a
classmate’s exact measurements and requirements.
My first ‘customer’
was for a lovely sweet woman who wanted me to make her wedding outfit.
I was so
proud that she had chosen and entrusted me to make her clothes for such a
special occasion. She chose a beautiful water green satin with little flower
print from which I made a corset and matching skirt. She was really happy.
The second outfit I made was for a very chic young Parisian lady.
The design was a classy vintage inspired dress from the 60’s in crepe fabric with
a black and white collar, cuffs and buttons. She looked stunning.
