Yesterday I went to the Petworth House Textile Fair, West Sussex. It was a gorgeous and hot day.
There were marquees outside the building with artists, people selling vintage fabrics and lace, books, rugs, tribal jewellery and textiles… Selvedge Magazine was here too.
I met Jenny who makes jewellery out of silver-plated cutlery (www.numerous-aspects.co.uk) and Bev, a felt maker, who creates amongst other things lovely felt brooches (www.bevharrisarts.co.uk), the very talented Debbie Siniska was there too (http://www.debbiesiniska.co.uk/).
Inside the house, you could see from very close (you could almost touch them which is very rare) dresses from the 17th century to the 1950s.
We had venison meatballs for lunch, they were delicious! Mmmhhh…
